An arcade and games centre in Tenby has received the backing of town councillors who believe the premises should be allowed to leave their doors open during the summer season. Serendipity Games Centre in George Street had written to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with a request to keep the doors open, which was refused on the grounds of 'nuisance which could be caused by noise'. Now, with an appeal against the decision to be held at the end of the month, local councillors gave their backing to Serendipity's request at Tuesday evening's meeting of the town council. "Since pedestrianisation has come in, the streets are a lot more vibrant and noisy during the summer weeks anyway, so I don't see what difference it would make to noise nuisance in that area for the games centre to have to keep their doors shut," commented Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown,. Agreeing, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas added: "I don't see the point in objecting as there is nothing quiet about that street during the summer period." Councillors agreed to offer no objections to the appeal.
