A resolution of Pembrokeshire County Council's planning and rights of way committee to approve an application for Heron's Brook, Narberth, has been endorsed by full council. The application for the former animal park proposes alterations to the existing ponds on the site to create two lakes to be stocked for trout fishing with 25 pitches, together with the siting of 10 high quality timber lodges for holiday letting, one of which would be suitable for disabled clientele. "The nature of the development is such that it requires to be referred to both the council and the Welsh Assembly Government as a significant departure from the adopted Joint Unitary Development Plan," said a spokeswoman for the local authority.
