Calling local community organisations and voluntary groups who are in need of free facilities - Pembrokeshire College may be able to help. The college STEP team is holding an Open Evening on April 1, from 6-9 pm, to explain how they can assist.
STEP project officer, Janet Davies explained: "We found out from talking to a number of community organisations and voluntary groups that they could benefit from using college facilities, but either lacked the funds or knowledge about how to access the facilities.
"We will provide tours of the facilities at the open evening as well as a presentation of how and when it's possible to access the facilities for free.
"The college has some fantastic facilities for meetings, exhibitions and events for small and large groups, as well as complementary audio visual equipment such as interactive whiteboards, internet and HD video conferencing.
"There are also a number of supplementary services at the college that can be used for a reasonable cost, such as the Academy Restaurant, hair and beauty salons, the fitness centre and the Bright Start children's nursery."
The STEP project has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Union.
