After beating the Stanley Arms A, the Taf could regain the league title tonight (Friday) if they gain a win over the Angel Narberth A, who themselves are still in with a chance. The Parcylan A's only chance of getting in the medal positions nearly fell by the wayside as they struggled to overcome the Angel Llan, needing the last two doubles to take the match. The Ivy Bush made the long journey to Lawrenny Sports and came back with a fine 7-2 win, while the local derby saw the RAOB A take the honours at the Farmers.
The B League brought up a few surprises, with last week's top three teams all losing. The Bush Robeston saw their title hopes dented after a trip to the Glandy Cross. The RFC Otters had no answer to the in form RAOB B, while the Dragon lost at home to the Alpha.
At the bottom, the Angel Narberth B chalked up their second win of the campaign with a good result against the Plash, while the youngsters of the Stanley B took the points with a big win at the Parcylan B.
NB: Can the following matches be arranged as soon as possible and before Friday, March 27 - Ivy Bush v Angel Llan and Angel Narberth A v Farmers.
Achievements last week came from Neil Jolly (Stanley A) 180, Stuart Hughes (Parcylan A) 18 darts and 116 out (in 1001), and David Rees (Bush Robeston) 18 darts and 116 (which puts him top of the B League players).
On a sad note, former player and chairman of the league, Mr. Dilwyn Davies, unfortunately passed away last Friday. A good friend and neighbour who never let anyone down, our deepest sympathy goes to Lottie and the family; he will be missed.
