It was a good night for the away teams last week. However, the Taf very nearly lost their first match at the Farmers, just scraping through on the final leg. And that was after Farmers had earlier played the Parcylan B, who only had five players and they only managed to beat them on the last leg as well. A busy week for the Parcylan B also saw them lose to the RFC B on the Monday and to the RAOB A. The RFC A slipped up again losing at home to the in- form Ivy Bush. The battle of the Angel teams saw the boys from Llandissilio taking the honours, while the Stanley Arms made it a worthwhile journey up north, coming away with a good win at the Glandy. The Dragon saw a 4-2 lead turn into defeat at the hands of the RFC B, while the Parcylan A managed a big win at the RAOB B. Lawrenny chalked up a good home win at the expense of the Plash. Achievements on the night came from Steve Pallas (RAOB A) 21 darts and 109 out, Rob and Lyndon (Farmers) 20 darts, Chris Viggars (Farmers) 20 darts, Lyndon Williams (Farmers) 180, Kim Llewellyn (Taf) 21 darts and 133 out, Chris and Gavin (Taf) 20 darts, Gareth Howells (Angel Llan) 21 darts, and Danny Unsworth (Ivy Bush) 180. Last week's results: Farmers 4 Taf 5 (1001); Dragon 4 RFC B (1001); Parcylan B 4 RAOB A 5 (1001); Lawrenny 7 Plash 2 (1001); Glandy Cross 2 Stanley Arms 7 (1001); RAOB B 1 Parcylan A 8 (1001); Angel Narberth 4 Angel Llan 5 (1001); RFC A 4 Ivy Bush 5 (1001); RFC B 6 (1001) Parcylan B 3 (re-arranged); Farmers 5 (1001) Parcylan B 4 (re-arranged). Last Sunday saw the annual Parcylan £200 Singles Darts Knockout take place. Although the numbers were down on previous years, a cracking day was enjoyed by all. And a grand total of £430 was collected and presented to the Air Ambulance - many thanks to all who put their hands in their pockets. On to the competition and 25 players entered this year. Losing quarter-finalists were Paul Scheffler (RFC B), Lee Pearce (Parcylan A), Andrew Pearce (Parcylan A) and Richard Morris (Ivy Bush), fourth place went to Adam Kelly (Parcylan A), third place went to Steve Poole (Angel Narberth), runner-up was Danny Unsworth (Ivy Bush), while notching up his second title was Chris Jenkins (Taf). The first round losers all went back into another draw, with losing semi-finalists being Jason Freeman (Parcylan B) and Richard Mathias (Parcylan A), runner-up was Ben Farr (Parcylan B) and the winner was Kevin John (Ivy Bush). Furthest lady was Sharron Lidbury (Ivy Bush). Achievements on the day came from Colin Hallwood (Dragon) 180, Paul Farr (Parcylan A) 20 darts, Steve Poole 100 out, Chris Jenkins 21, 20 and 2 x 19 darters, Adam Kelly 120 out. Many thanks go to Adam and Melrose, of the Parcylan, Kelly's Inns and Felinfoel Brewery, all the contributors to the raffle prizes, and Colin and Dicky for running the draw.
