A COOKERY book entitled 'For All Cooks Great and Small' was launched on August 10, with proceeds going to the Shalom House Trust in St. Davids. Already more than 250 copies have been sold. Compiled by Sian Brown and Jackie Thomas, of the Newport Shalom Fund-raising group, this delightful book (priced £5) includes mouth-watering recipes which range from starters, meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, vegetarian, and pasta dishes, to puddings, cakes, biscuits, breads, jams, jellies and chutneys. The book can be bought through Margaret Burnett (01348 872619), Sian Brown (01239 820161) or other Shalom fund-raisers. • The sum of £1,200 was raised for the Shalom House Trust when Shirley Munty opened her home and gardens in Eglwyswrw to the public. It is hoped this will become an annual event.
