The Academy Restaurant was the setting for the Pembrokeshire College 2002 Construction and Design Awards. Guests were witness to awards to students who had excelled during their courses.
Assistant Principal, Sharron Lusher welcomed prize winners, their guests and employers; members of the Construction Management Panel and dignitaries. She paid special thanks to the sponsors of the awards, Jewson/Grahams of Haverfordwest, National Federation of Builders, Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire Group Training Association, Pembrokeshire Group of Chartered Institute of Building, as without their support the evening would not be possible.
She thanked the employers for their support and for the invaluable opportunities that they gave to the students and thanked parents/partners for their encouragement and support.
The master of the ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Frank Bradley, Programme Area Manager for Construction, Design and Advanced Technology who introduced Mr. Paul Marsh, of the CITB and Mr. David Lloyd, of the Pembrokeshire Federation of Builders who kindly agreed to present the prestigious awards. Mr. Bradley confirmed that the students had been picked by their tutors due to their achievement, endeavour, enthusiasm and hard work.
Mr. Bryan Hall, Faculty Manager for Technology offered a vote of thanks in an extraordinary way by marking the occasion with highlighting 13 years of carpentry service by Mr. Alun Davies who retires in November.
