Can I congratulate Narberth RFC after completing a magnificent season in going up to Division One.
Next season, we know, is going to be a far tougher one but I am sure with a few more signings Narberth will be than capable of holding its own.
As a player (albeit a poor one) for Narberth many years ago under the late Tommy Howells and only for a season or two, they are the first results I look for when I return from refereeing around the world. Their consistency has been rewarded.
As a frequent article in your 'paper and a Narberth boy, I look forward to next season when Narberth will take on the likes on Pontypool, Tondu, Whitland and Carmarthen Quins and coming out on top.
I can't let this letter go without congratulating Narberth soccer as well for a truly magnificent season for which I too played for many years back in the 50s and 60s with my old mucker Ralph Phillips. Well done to them.
