Saundersfoot harbourside’s Christmas carol concert raised the magnificent sum of over £5,000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
The event, organised by Susan and Brian McKehon was inspired by the death of 18-year-old Daniel Bridle, of Saundersfoot, from bone cancer in 2014.
Since then, more than £25,000 has been raised locally for the charity.
The carol concert was such a success that the date of December 21 has been set to hold the 2017 Saundersfoot Harbourside Christmas Carol Concert.
“Once again, we would like to thank everyone who took part and supported the event which raised such a staggering amount of money,” said Susan McKehon.
2017 is the year the Bone Cancer Research Trust has set aside for their £1.1 million appeal campaign.
The next fundraising event in aid of Bone Cancer Research Trust will be The Most Incredible St. David’s Day Tea Party to be held at 2 The Meadows, Pentlepoir, on Wednesday, March 1, from 10 am until 3 pm. Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy a selection of home baking with tea, coffee or chocolate to support the charity. There will also be a raffle and the opportunity to purchase a variety of home-made items, including the ever-popular hand-knitted daffodil brooches.
