Nick Bourne, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the National Assembly and Assembly Member for Mid and West Wales, has expressed his concern at the temporary closure of the post office in Lawrenny. The branch is to close on November 30 following the resignation of the sub-postmaster. Nick Bourne said: "I am concerned at the closure of this post office due to unavoidable circumstances and I welcome Post Office Limited's commitment to maintaining a service here. "I would like to call on any potential candidates to run Lawrenny post office to come forward and to contact Post Office Limited to ensure this service is recommenced as soon as possible."
