Concern was expressed this week over the storage of hospital equipment purchased by the Tenby Cottage Hospital League of Friends for use at the new facility in Gas Lane. Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas told her colleagues at Tuesday evening's meeting of the town council that the future of the items which were now in storage had not been resolved. "It has been a great concern to members of the League of Friends that there has been no consultation on this matter," said Clr. Mrs. Thomas. "I know that the chairman, Mrs. Pat Wright, has spoken to the chief officer to Pembrokeshire CHC (Community Health Council), Ashley Warlow, and he was astonished by the lack of communication on the issue. "When people of the community give generously to help out for a good cause and see that equipment bought for their hospital is not being used, it will be of concern to them as well," she stressed, adding that a meeting to discuss the situation would be held with Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust's acting chief executive, Caroline Oakley, at the end of April.
