Sir,

I feel compelled to write about Narberth's High Street being brought to a complete standstill on a daily basis by articulated lorries delivering in the town.

Today (Tuesday, August 11) was the worst I have seen for a long time, as not one, but two lorries were delivering in the street. This resulted in stationary or very slow moving traffic, down past the castle in one direction and beyond the junction of St. James Street and Spring Gardens at the start of the one-way system.

The situation had not improved even after an hour when there was only one lorry still delivering.

If the emergency services needed to respond to an incident in Kilgetty, they would have been unable to do so, thus putting lives at risk. Is a tin of beans worth a life? I personally do not think so!

Why can't all deliveries to the town be made before 8 am?
