This winter, four members of the Modern Print Target Club entered the National Small-Bore Rifle Association (Individual Autumn Competition) and achieved a creditable level of success.
Ken Rice won the bronze medal in Class C, with Ron Hovell finishing fifth. John Court won the gold medal in Class B, while his son Daniel Court won the silver medal in Class B. This, for Daniel, was a major achievement as he is just 15-years-old.
Daniel is supported by a Pembrokeshire County Council travelling grant to attend GB junior training sessions at Wolverhampton in preparation for the Commonwealth Games in India in 2010.
Success would not have been possible without the support given to the club by the Sportlot Community Chest Grants Scheme.
The club shoots three times a week in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock.
