Children from Year Four and Five at Templeton CP School took part in the Welsh Books Council Book Reading Competition (English language books) for the first time this year.
Having been successful in the first round of the competition, held in March, they competed in the Pembrokeshire final last week and came third.
The books the children read for the competition were 'Cool' by Michael Morpurgo (discussion); 'The Changeling' by Jac Jones and Malachy Doyle (dramatised); and 'A Wind From The Sea' by Jennifer Morgan (discussion).
This is the third year that the competition has been held.
