“After 29 years as Chairman of Whitland Week I think the time is right for me to step down and let a new group of people to take it over and hopefully take it onto new heights,” he said.
“Over the years I have worked with a fantastic group of committee members and helpers and it has been a honour to lead them over the years. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the advertisers and sponsors who have supported us every year, all the ex members of the committee, ex presidents, ex Mayors, councillor Sue Allen and all those who have helped in any way.
“Special thanks to Treasurer Patrick and family members Jayne and Gillian for going above and beyond this year.”
Rob added: “Finally thanks to Whitland and Narberth Rotary, Round Table, WI, Whitland Fire Brigade and the local police officers, groundsman Mark Jones, Carolyn and staff at the Tenby Observer for all their help. Apologies to anyone else who I have missed and good luck to the new committee for the future. Lots of love to you all.”
