LEST we forget: The community of Pembroke Dock united over Remembrance weekend to pay tribute to members of the armed forces who have served in wars and conflicts and laid down their lives for our freedom.

A crane was seen in Church Street on Saturday, November 8 as the town clock was cleaned ready for Remembrance Sunday at St John’s. The Parish of Pembroke Dock thanked the Pembrokeshire County Council workers for all their efforts.
A Remembrance Service was held at the town’s Military Cemetery on the Saturday afternoon, which was attended by, amongst others, Pembroke Dock Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team.
There was a large turnout for the Remembrance Sunday Procession at Pembroke Dock, which culminated in a short service and wreath-laying ceremony outside St John’s Church as part of the town’s commemorations.
The service included prayers, readings, bugle calls and the raising of standards.
Wreaths were laid on behalf of many individuals and organisations, including but not limited to: The Royal British Legion; Royal Artillery, Royal Engineers; Henry Tufnell MP; Sam Kurtz MS; Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Town Councils; Army and Sea Cadets; Heritage Centre; Maritime Museum; Rotary International; Freemasons; Lions International; Probus Club; Milford Haven Port Authority; Pater Hall Community Trust; Pembroke Dock Harlequins RFC; Pennar Robins; Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Bowls Club; Women’s Institute; Fishermen’s Mission; Dyfed-Powys Police; Dyfed-Powys Ambulance Service; Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service; Pembroke and District Male Choir; Ysgol Harri Tudur; Ysgol Bro Penfro; Pembroke Dock Community School; Pennar Community School; Girl Guiding; Scouting; Sea Scouts; St John's Church; St Teilo's Church; Bethel Baptist Chapel; Messy Church; St John’s Community Hall; Pennar and Bufferland Community Association.

Pennar Community School described their school councillors as “fabulous role models” as they represented the school at the Remembrance Service on Sunday.
