“I’m so overwhelmed and very grateful for all the love and support I’ve received,” said Tina Foster, who has raised over £5,500 for GTBAL and Windswept Watersports with a skydive on August 23, which would have been her late son Luke’s 40th birthday.

Sam Warden, her boss at Value Independence CIC, joined her with his own skydive on what Tina described as a beautifully perfect day.

Tina, aged 66, first announced her challenge in March, two years after losing her son, Luke.

Tina organised a raffle that was drawn on August 28.

“I’ve had some lovely prizes donated by local businesses and friends, they’ve been very supportive, for which I’m extremely grateful,” she said.

Tina, who moved to Pembrokeshire eight years ago, has completed her sky dive in memory of her son Luke, while raising funds for two great charities Get the Boys a Lift and Windswept Watersports.

Get The Boys A Lift (GTBAL), was established by a group of friends back in 2016, operating as a social enterprise, using funds from their coffee shop, clothing and fundraising to provide free and easily accessible mental health support for people across the community.

Windswept have been providing watersports to Value Independence CIC clients for several years. “These lovely people at Windswept give disabled and other disadvantaged children and adults the chance to enjoy the sea, either on it or in it, which many of us are able to do and take for granted,” said Tina.

“I’m so glad I can give my chosen causes a good donation each,” she added, on reporting a total of £5,505 raised to date. “I’m keeping the JustGiving page open for a little longer in case anyone else would like to donate.”
