With three-and-a-half tables in play at Penally Bridge Club on June 2, the afternoon belonged to Geoff & Paul with a terrific score of 68.75%, well ahead of second-placed Brenda & Pam with 63.75%.

Not only that but Geoff & Paul were the only pair to make two slams, although there were several opportunities for other pairs to do so. The contracts of eight pairs were doubled, with seven of those going down.

With director, Alan, due to return to play on June 9, Penally Bridge Club acknowledges the hard work and effort put in by Paul, Stuart and Brenda to keep things running smoothly during his absence. Their teamwork has been very much appreciated.

Penally Bridge Club meets each Monday at 1.15pm in the Village Hall and welcomes visiting players and their partners. Refreshments are provided and there is ample parking available.
