SUMMERHILL WI members gathered for a delightful evening at Amroth Parish Hall, where they creatively decorated goose eggs in Faberge style.
For the March meeting, Julie Evans had brought along a selection of eggs painted in a myriad of colours ready to decorate them. Ladies were invited to choose from a large quantity of transfers, stickers and beautifully coloured crystals to decorate in their individual style.
Each member produced a pretty keepsake of the evening which Julie fixed onto a metal stand to enable it to be displayed.
Hilary gave the vote of thanks for an excellent evening, then the raffle was drawn with Wendy the lucky winner.
Linnia, Margaret L and Ann P served refreshments before the evening continued with WI business. Apologies were noted with birthday greetings extended to Wendy and Sandra and thanks given to ladies for their monthly food bank donations.
The federation letter was read and the County Round entry discussed. Members agreed to put a team together for the Federation Quiz at New Hedges Hall in April.
Summerhill WI’s next meeting will be the annual outing to Cegin Gareth in Lampeter on Monday April 13; participants to meet at the Bloomfield Centre, Narberth at 9.15am.
