At its 43rd Annual General Meeting, the Paul Sartori Foundation celebrated another year of providing vital hospice-at-home services to people living with life-limiting illnesses in Pembrokeshire.
The charity extends heartfelt thanks to all who attended the AGM, held at Pembrokeshire College, for their continued support and dedication.
This year’s theme of progress and stability reflects the Foundation’s ongoing growth and unwavering commitment to the community. Updates were shared by clinical team manager Laura Hugman, who highlighted the continued development of the Foundation’s clinical services, and trustee Dylan Harries, who provided a clear and comprehensive financial report. Their contributions reinforced the charity’s vision of providing compassionate, sustainable care to those who need it most.
Outgoing chair Dave Evans was warmly thanked for his exceptional leadership, ensuring that the Foundation’s services remain free at the point of service for anyone in Pembrokeshire facing a life-limiting illness; financial circumstances should never be a barrier to care.
The AGM also marked a period of change for the board of trustees. Janet Bevans, who joined the board in December 2021, was recognised for her many contributions. Janet brought extensive expertise and a deep-rooted connection to Pembrokeshire.
Paul Lister, a trustee since January 2015 and chair from 2019 to 2023, was also thanked for his years of service. Paul’s knowledge and vision as an architect played a key role in shaping the Foundation’s property development and strategy, leaving a lasting legacy.
The Foundation welcomes a new trustee, Dr Martin Mackintosh, who brings over 30 years of experience in General Practice and healthcare leadership. In addition, Caroline Bovey joined the trustee committee in July 2025 as a trustee-elect, beginning a six-month trial in line with the Foundation’s recruitment policy.
It was also announced that Phil Thompson will become the new chairman, ensuring continuity and progress as the Foundation moves forward.
