Milford Haven’s RAOB Harbour Lodge 10704 raised £400 for dementia support group Forget-Me-Knot whilst in uncertain times with their lodge home.
After a recent fresh start and a move to The Vibe on Charles Street, ‘The Buffs’ encountered unforeseen issues concerning opening times at their new venue. Undeterred, they ran a successful summer raffle that raised £400 for the amazing team at Forget-Me-Not, a support group for those living with dementia in South Pembrokeshire. Earlier this month, the Lodge was thrilled to present the money raised to two ladies from the organisation.
The Buffs have decided to make their new forever home at ‘The Robbins’ at Milford United Football Club. The move was made around the end of June and has seen progress for Milford Haven’s Harbour Lodge already.
Far from being a set back, the Buffs see this as a good thing, bringing them to a central point whilst being able to support another organisation in the town. The venue has its own parking with full disabled access into the lodge room, making it the perfect meeting place for young and old Buffs.
RAOB stands for the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, a fraternal organisation known for its charitable work and social activities. Founded in 1822, it’s one of the largest fraternal organisations in the UK and has spread internationally. Members, often referred to as ‘Buffs’, value friendship, mutual support, and social interaction, while also actively engaging in philanthropic endeavours.
