CHILDREN across Pembrokeshire have been using their imagination to turn something simple into something spectacular in this year’s Eyemazy Drawing Competition, with their creative entries on display in Tenby.
The challenge was simple but exciting: each pupil was given an image of an eye and asked to transform it into a creative piece of art. The result? A gallery of stunning and imaginative entries that turned eyes into everything from flowers and bees to octopus and ocean waves.
Pupils from schools across the county took part, using paint, collage, pencil to reimagine the iris as something entirely new. The De Valence Pavilion in Tenby has put these creativity works of art on display.
“It’s incredible to see how differently each child interprets the same starting point,” said one organiser. “Every entry tells a story — from the eye of a tiger to the window of a spaceship!”
After much deliberation, the judges selected this year’s winning entries, which stood out for their originality, detail, and imagination. All entries are on display in the De Valence, celebrating the pupils’ imagination and artistic talent.
