West Wales Wild Watch offers free wildlife recording sessions with West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre.

Friday, May 8, 10am- 1pm – Letterston Community Woodland, Letterston. Meet at Letterston Common car park, SA62 5SL. What3words: mooring.butlers.ever. This is an outdoor session, looking for spring life, so dress warm and dry. The event may be postponed in adverse weather, so email [email protected] to confirm.
Saturday 9th May, 10am-1pm – St Issell’s Parish Church, Saundersfoot, SA69 9BD. What3words: nametag.barn.mixer. There will be a short introduction to recording, before heading out to explore the wildlife of the churchyard and cemetery. If it’s wet, items can be taken back inside to examine. Tea and biscuits will be provided.
Friday, May 15, 10am-1pm – Freystrop Recreation Field, Freystrop. Meet at the recreation field car park, SA62 4EA. What3words: eager.rollover.bounty. An outdoor session, looking for spring life, it may be postponed in adverse weather, so email [email protected] to confirm.
The ‘LERC Wales’ App is the one being used to record wildlife. To join in using the app, it helps to download the app beforehand and create an account. Participants can also record using a notebook and pencil, and submit that to record.wwbic.org.uk .
Record species and have fun looking at nature in a relaxed, practical session. All are welcome, regardless of experience, so it’s a great way to discover local wildlife.
