THE installation of the new climbing frame at Carew is going really well and community councillors are excited to see it coming together. However, conditions are so muddy at the moment that the park will need to remain closed for the foreseeable future.
“We want to make sure everyone stays safe, as the ground is very slippery and we don’t want anyone slipping and hurting themselves,” said Cllr Simon Hosker-Hicks.
“We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as the park is ready to reopen and when it is, first test climbers at the ready!”
Carew Community Council applied for a grant for new park equipment in response to residents’ requests for improvements, and they were fortunate enough to receive it.
The new equipment has been designed to be suitable for all abilities and will create an even better space for children, families, and friends to enjoy a great place to play or simply hang out.
The update comes after the tireless efforts of the contractors to complete the installation, undeterred by wind and rain. They were welcomed by Clerk Stephanie, out in all conditions to ensure everything went to plan.
