A photo ripe for a caption competition, shared on Facebook by the Diocese of St Davids, shows Bishop Dorrien joining the Blood Bikers at the Pembrokeshire Show.
On the back of the bike, sporting a boater, is Archdeacon Paul.
On the Pure West Radio stage, the Bishop of St Davids expressed his pleasure in meeting people of the diocese, being able to share in the joyous occasion and celebrate agriculture in West Wales and all those who “contribute in such an important way to our nation’s wellbeing”. He said farmers are feeding the nation, and emphasised the importance of showing encouragement and appreciation to our farming community.
Bishop Dorrien said that the church is here for the people and even that Jesus “is here today and he is amongst the people and sharing in their joy.”
Having already voiced his desire to get food, when the bishop was asked what he fancied, he sang the praises of Welsh Black beef.
