DON’T miss the Annual Plant Sale at St Oswald’s Community Garden, Pembroke, on Monday, May 4!
The plant sale will be open between 10am and 4pm on Monday, May 4 and the organisers would be grateful for any support. They would also appreciate any spare plants you might have for sale or planting.
Volunteers recently spent a day weeding, planting potatoes, turnips, carrots and preparing for the plant sale, including laying out and extra donated table. They spied a slow worm during the day, and even found time for a little sketching later on in the garden.
St Oswald’s community garden is owned by Ateb Housing Association, is situated at the back of St Oswald’s flats. The land was made available in 2012 for the use of the community, through 21c Community Association, for the development and management by volunteers as a garden for the benefit of the community.
Access to the garden is from the Commons, via a gate in the wall.
