You are invited to the Community Climate Change and Local Products Fair which PLANED is organising for Welsh Assembly Government.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 22, 10.30 am - 3 pm, at the Bloomfield Centre in Narberth. The whole event is free!
This event is one of four in Wales (Cardiff, Wrexham and Bangor will follow in January) and includes a Local Products Christmas Fair, as well as renewable energy stalls, workshops and speakers.
Workshops for all ages include circus skills; how to make your own willow and felt Christmas decorations; how to build a mini-wind turbine; do more with less; and much more.
There will be recycled art, energy and discussion workshops for all ages and a chance for community groups to promote and share their environment projects.
The Carbon Calculator Tool will be shown, a tool available for communities to use when tackling climate change, and speakers include Andy Rowlands from Eco Dyfi, a community group in the Dyfi valley that has set up several successful community energy projects, Jackie Morris, author of the Snow Leopard and the Seal Children, and Brian John, environmental campaigner and author of the Angel Mountain books.
