Police are appealing for information after damage was caused to the Monkton Community Centre. Over the festive period, boundary fencing in front of the centre was vandalised and on January 3 young people were lighting fires in the area. PCSO David Powell said: "Monkton Community Centre serves a large population of residents and children. To see it being vandalised does not reflect the good work and effort which goes into it looking good. "If you are aware of any persons involved in this disrespectful action, then we would like to hear from you," he added.
