Hannah Taylor from St. Florence is commencing postgraduate study at the University of Bristol. Hannah, a former pupil of Greenhill School, graduated this year from the same university with a First Class MSci degree in Chemistry.

“Bristol has one of the UK’s leading chemistry research departments and I am very excited with this new stage in my academic career,” said Hannah. “Also, Bristol is great place to live and work.”

Hannah is joining a group studying protolife, involving pioneering new scientific and technological horizons derived from understanding of how life could have emerged from non-living matter. Hannah’s study for a PhD will build on her master’s research.

“My subject may appear abstract, but there are various potential practical applications. This includes medicinal uses, such as improved and targeted drug delivery,” she explained.
