Profits made from comedy nights at Tenby’s De Valence will go towards local charities councillors were told this week.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown told her colleagues that the venue would soon be hosting a monthly ‘Barrel of Laughs’ comedy night.
“The first night will be held on May 30, with all profits going to a local charity in Tenby,” she explained.
“Bookings for events are coming in, and there is something on every week up until Christmas at the venue.
“We are currently finishing up the new lighting rigs and lighting installation, which is proving very expensive, and this week the dressing rooms, with new showers, sinks and flooring will be finished, so it’s busy, busy, busy!” added Clr. Mrs. Brown.
