Celeb spotters have been out in force this week capturing 'selfies' with the stars, as filming has been taking place at Pembroke Castle.

Shooting for a feature movie by Tiger Aspect Productions, began on Tuesday under the working title Rosebud-The Movie. However, fans have been quick to second guess that the filming is for a feature length version of the popular BBC Three sitcom Bad Education, which stars comedian Jack Whitehall as young teacher Alfie Wickers, known as 'the worst teacher ever to grace the British education system'.

Other well-known cast members such as Gavin and Stacey's Matthew Horne and comedy legend Harry Enfield have been spotted in and around Pembroke, whilst Jack Whitehall and some of his fellow actors including Game of Thrones's Iain Glen enjoyed a break from filming with a meal at Tenby's Blue Ball Restaurant on Wednesday night.

"It was exciting having them all in. They all were so lovely," said restaurant proprietor Debbie Neale on Thursday.

"They adore Pembrokeshire and commented on how lovely the food was and a few of them are coming back tonight, so must have been impressed.

Iain Glen was so nice and very complimentary. Jack Whitehall said to me the food was amazing. Madge from Benidorm aka Sheila Reid was very funny and chatty.

"Actually they were all so lovely it was a pleasure to meet and cook for the cast of Bad Education. The Blue Ball team were thrilled and proud they chose us," she added.

Correspondence sent out to residents in Pembroke and local businesses from the production company ahead of the filming notified them that the action will involve up to 100 extras, with some dressed as police officers, contained within the grounds of the castle.

There will also be some scenes involving sword fighting, and the use of a low-flying helicopter for stunts and camera work planned.

This is not the only film action that Pembroke is due to see this year, with shooting for the film based on Jojo Moyes' romantic best selling novel Me Before You set to take place in the town in May, with Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones fame and Sam Claflin of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and 2 set to star in the lead roles.
