St. Oswalds Community Garden, Pembroke, are delighted to have been awarded packs of wildflower seeds from Kew Garden under the Grow Wild scheme.
So, an area that has been untouched for many years and overgrown has been cleared for a seed planting morning. All are welcome to come along on Saturday from 11 am to 12.30 pm, wearing suitable footwear for steep paths, to join in with a fun morning when seeds will be planted and scarecrows made. Bring your old clothes to make yourself as a scarecrow maybe!
The garden is situated behind the town wall and is a former burgage plot (close to Foundry House). The land is owned by Ateb (formerly Pembrokeshire Housing Association) and has been passed through Foundry House to the community for the purpose of making a community garden run by and on behalf of the community.
Not seen it? Now is a chance to come along. The garden is also open on Thursdays, 10 am to 12 noon and 2-4 pm to have a look or get stuck in! It is also open for a range of events and working parties. See St. Oswalds Community Garden Facebook page or posters outside the garden.
