Over 140 pupils from the Pembrokeshire Leisure School of Dance stepped their way to success at the weekend. The dancers - aged from four to senior citizens - took home a total of 251 awards (107 first places, 88 seconds and 56 thirds) at the annual UKA Medallist of the Year competition. Rebecca Lambe, of Fishguard, was the overall winning pupil in the freestyle/disco section, while Dylan Allen, of Milford Haven, won the modern sequence section. The Pembrokeshire Leisure School of Dance also received the overall school-winning trophy for the freestyle/disco, classical and modern sequence. Held at Chepstow Leisure Centre last Sunday, the competition featured dancers from across Wales and the West Country. Pupils competed in a variety of dance styles, including disco, classical, modern sequence, ballroom and Latin.
