'Come and walk or run with us' is the battle cry of those organising the sponsored event across Castlemartin Range in aid of the RNLI on Sunday. Commandant Colonel Johnny Rogers, his wife Nicky, walk chairman, Mrs. Viv Kerrison, and two intrepid dogs (pictured) scaled one of the tanks outside the gate of the camp to emphasise that the day is set to go with a bang!

Landmarc Logistics Service Support for Army Training Estate, Pembrokeshire, are in fact sponsors for the RNLI for the next two years, which will mean considerable help in financing all that is needed to organise and run the walk.

Anyone keen to enjoy the beautiful (long or short) scenic routes across the cliff-tops, while also supporting the Lifeboats, can obtain sponsorship forms or further details by calling 01646 672168.

Those who just turn up at Newton Tower (near St. Govan's Chapel) on the day and give a donation are also welcome to participate and, after barbecued refreshments, the walk will be started at 1 pm by rugby international Jonathan Thomas, with runners setting off an hour later.
