Pisgah Baptist Chapel is blooming with colour with a special flower festival to celebrate the chapel's 180th anniversary.

The festival, co-ordinated and arranged by Ann Maggs and ladies of the chapel, opened yesterday (Thursday) and is running alongside a fascinating exhibition of memorabilia.

As well as the eye-catching displays, memorial roses have been given by individuals and families in memory of loved ones.

Other events taking place during the week-long celebrations are a Songs of Praise which is being held tonight (Friday) and a performance of 'Marching to Zion' which takes place on Sunday.

Ann is seen in the picture below with chapel secretary, Doris James, and Sunday School superintendent, Nin Thomas, admiring one of the colourful displays.

The flower festival and memorabilia display is open today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.30 am.
