Pembrokeshire College NVQ 2 Environmental Conservation students recently completed a footpath project at Portfield School that enables wheelchair users access through a willow tunnel and a wildlife garden.

"We are very grateful for all the conservation students' hard work as well as the Portfield School pupils who helped them," said head teacher, Sue Painter.

"About 30 per cent of Portfield School students use wheelchairs and now they can also appreciate the beauty of both the willow tunnel and wildlife garden."

Mrs. Painter acknowledged the kind help of Barclays Bank who erected the willow tunnel last year, as well as former Pembrokeshire College students who constructed the wildlife garden.
