Pembrokeshire College's Information Learning Technology Manager, Dr. Geoff Elliott, has recently been awarded the Management Learning and Systems Award by the London based organisation NILTA * the National Information and Learning Technologies Association. The NILTA Awards recognise work that demonstrates an outstanding contribution to information learning technology, which is a key feature at Pembrokeshire College. "I'm delighted," said Geoff, "During the last 18 months we've worked hard to create an environment and culture within the college that allows students and staff to work and access information online. NILTA is an association of all UK colleges, so the award is quite an achievement." Assistant principal, Dr. Barry Walters, said: "We are extremely pleased with the hard work and enthusiasm Geoff has shown in leading and co ordinating a high quality ILT system across the college." Geoff will attend the annual NILTA conference in January where he will give a presentation and a demonstration of his work to other ILT specialists, and be formally presented with his award.
