A warm welcome is offered to all the community - whatever their age - when Pembrokeshire College opens its doors to the public on Tuesday, November 13, between 5 and 8 pm.

"It will be the first chance for people to get their hands on the 2002 Further Education prospectus which we have got ready two months earlier," said marketing and community relations manager, Patrick Groves.

"We have added an extra four pages to the bilingual prospectus after research indicated that students wanted more details about 22 A Levels that we offer, univeristy progression and a page about quality and the high level of tutor support given.

"The evening is for potential students and parents to view the facilities, chat to staff about their future and see some demonstrations and exhibitions.

"We feel that it's important that potential students investigate all their options before making a decision whether they have just started or finished their GCSEs, are returning to work, looking for a career move or promotion or just wanting to develop their full potential.

"Young people and their parents, as well as adult learners, will have every opportunity to see for themselves the exciting range of courses available at foundation, intermediate and higher education level, as well as get help and advice about all college courses, career opportunities and higher education and university entrance.

"Of particular importance to parents will be the kind of support and guidance that the college can offer. On the open evening the parents guide will be available which explains our tutorial and support programmes, possible financial support, help with learning difficulties and specialist support for physical disability, dyslexia and sensory impairment.
