THE small gallery at Colby Woodland Gardens, will be filled with over 50 paintings by Audrey Petersen from tomorrow (Saturday) until the end of the month.
'Gwahanol', Welsh for diverse, is the title of her exhibition, which runs until May 30, and diverse it is, in every sense.
Audrey's passion to capture on canvas everything which captures her interest leads her to explore a wide variety of subjects, using every medium.
The resulting collection, all under one roof, is breathtaking.
Audrey's artistic career began 20 years ago, after bringing up her five children and helping with grandchildren.
Whilst her daughter, Cherry Pickles, was studying at the Slade School of Art, Audrey decided to enroll herself as a mature student at the Polytechnic of Wales, attaining a BA honours degree in Humanities in 1985.
Since then she has regularly tutored on summer school courses in art and creative writing, as well as teaching art therapy locally.
She has lived in Pembrokeshire for the past 15 years, and is still bewitched by the beauty of the landscape.
Although Audrey has exhibited previously in venues throughout the county, Colby is delighted to offer her her first solo exhibition.
A selection of her poems will also be on view in the gallery.
Audrey herself will be in the gallery during the afternoons tomorrow (Saturday) and on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday for both weeks of the exhibition to meet visitors and discuss her work.
