The Cambrian Hotel, Saundersfoot, was the venue on November 7 for a very successful coffee morning in aid of Tenby and Pembrokeshire Branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

The event was well attended and sincere gratitude is extended to everyone for their support raising just over £500 for branch funds.

Special thanks go to Mr. and Mrs. Fry for the use of the Cambrian Hotel free of charge, Anne Roberts who ran a stall selling her beautiful crochet work, everyone who provided cakes for the cake stall, and Jean Roberts, Joan Rees, Jean Blakeman, Janet Standing, Rose McEwan and George and Mary Cavell for donating some of the raffle prizes.

The lucky winners were: Pam Edwards, Esme Cole, Jean Blakeman, Trevor and Val Griffiths, Claire Hewson, Janette Pickstone, Fred Goulding and Penny Butland.

With Christmas round the corner, the branch asks you to please save your used postage stamps, and if anyone has some time to spare and would like to join a friendly group of people raising funds to provide visually impaired people with mobility and independence in safety in the form of a guide dog, chair person, Shelagh Griffin, on 812809, or secretary, Eva Rich, on 812868, would be delighted to hear from them.

Once again grateful thanks to all concerned for making last Thursday the best coffee morning ever.
