As reported in last week's issue, the Tenby coastguard 4x4 rescue vehicle assisted the ambulance service with emergency calls when the roads became impassable to normal vehicular traffic after snow fell heavily in the county.

One patient was taken by the coastguard vehicle to Sageston roundabout where the land ambulance met them and conveyed her to hospital. Other casualties were given treatment by the paramedics on the spot, while two patients were picked up from their homes and taken to Tenby Cottage Hospital for assessment and treatment and then returned home.
