Local coastguards went to the aid of a walker who suffered a fractured ankle on the cliff path at Manorbier on Tuesday afternoon.

The 61-year-old woman from Wilstead, Bedfordshire, slipped and injured herself between Eastmoor Farm and Manorbier at approximately 2.30 pm.

After being assessed by coastguards, the air ambulance was requested.

Coastguards subsequently placed the woman in a stretcher and carried her to the helicopter which then flew her to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
