HM Coastguard has issued a plea this week ahead of Bonfire Night on November 5.
Angie Smith, DPRO at Milford Haven Coastguard, said: "We ask that if you are intending to have your fireworks on the beach or its near vicinity, you call the Operations Room, on 01646 690909, and inform us of the venue and times in order for us to have some idea of firework activities.
"If then we receive calls regarding strange lights going up into the night sky or floating down, we can work around the fact we have knowledge of your display and can quickly come to the conclusion that this is purely Guy Fawkes activities, thus allowing us to utilise our time and resources correctly for those who genuinely need our assistance."
