Tenby coastguard team and the resort's inshore lifeboat were called to South Beach, on Sunday, after a report that a girl on an inflatable had been taken out to sea by the wind.
Fortunately, other members of the public had swum out to the inflatable and managed to bring it and the young girl back to shore.
Coastguards spoke to the parents of the girl, from Swansea, and warned them of the dangers of inflatables.
