Coaching Project

Pupils from St. Teilo’s R.C. School, Tenby have become the first to take part in Tenby Bowling Club’s coaching project. The youngsters who paid an introductory visit to the Sutton Street green last week will begin their course next Friday, June 8. “All the children were very keen and are looking forward to learning how to play bowls,” commented Sam McNeilly, project co-ordinator, who hopes that other schools will also be interested in taking part in the scheme. The budding young bowlers are seen here with Sam, club coaches Terry Preston and Audrey Owens, club vice chairman John King and two of their school teachers. Coaching sessions for both adults and children are also held every Sunday morning from 10 am and anyone interested in taking up the sport is welcome to attend.
