A few weeks ago, the RAOB Club in Kilgetty echoed to the sounds of "I haven't seen you for years" and "Don't we look young in that photo", as the Co-op staff reunion/charity night got underway.
There was lots of reminiscing as former staff (some from the 1940s) talked to present day staff and compared the differences in work. There were friends and colleagues from all departments: grocery, drapery, coal, menswear, mobiles and the ironmongery, and from all stores, Haverfordwest, Pembroke Dock, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Kilgetty and Narberth.
A sumptuous buffet was enjoyed and entertainment was provided by local duo 'Now and Then'. Thanks go out to them and everyone who helped in any way, especially the RAOB Club for the free use of the room.
A great evening was had by all and this unique event raised over £900 for the Co-op's charity of the year - Shelter.
