St. Govans, Tenby and Manorbier Coastguard Rescue Teams, along with the South Pembs. sector manager, assisted RAF Rescue Helicopter 169 with the evacuation of a climber who had fallen at St. Govans head shortly before 7 pm last Tuesday.
The casualty was taken to Morriston Hospital, Swansea, for treatment for a broken pelvis, a chipped leg bone and fractured ribs. He had also torn some tendons off his spine.
The 23-year-old climber was in a party of two and was from Yarnton, Oxfordshire.
