Pembrokeshire County Council has started carrying out repair work to the cliff above Tenby's North Walk after a landslip.

The work to stabilise the zone above the slip by installing rock bolts or soil nails with a mesh facing comes after the landslip occurred adjacent to the Duke of York Walkway last month when around 20 tonnes of mainly soil type material slipped from near the top of the cliff onto the boat park terrace below.

A coir soil retention blanket will also be placed below the mesh to stop soil washing through and to help the vegetation re-establish itself on the cliff. In the background of the photograph, workmen can also be clearly seen working on the Royal Gatehouse Hotel.
