After the gales and heavy rain of the past few weeks, Easter Bank Holiday Monday's weather was favourable for members of Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club and their classic cars on the annual Easter run out. The cars left the roads of Pembrokeshire, and leader for the day, Mr. Tony Brinsden and his wife Margaret, in their Sunbeam Talbot, took the group into the country lanes of Carmarthenshire this trip, passing through small villages on the run, giving people pleasure and interest with an array of classic cars passing before their eyes. They stopped at Llansteffan for a coffee break before travelling on to Pembrey for lunch. Thirteen cars in all turned up for the day out, making a total of 27 members for the Easter lunch, where the club chairman's wife was presented with a birthday gift and card from club members. Anyone with a classic car is very welcome to join the Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club and can contact the secretary, Mrs. Margaret Griffiths, on (01646) 698233 or 07837103940, for further details. This year will be Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club's 25th anniversary and their annual show at Scolton Manor on June 1 will be 'The Big One' for the club. Details of this or any other information regarding the show (exhibitors with classic cars or motorbikes, trade stalls, car booters), or anyone that just wants to sponsor or offer help or visit the show can also be obtained from the secretary.
