After reading Mrs. Walker's letter last week, I would like to point out that the councillor who brought the matter to council had been asked by a town resident about the banners on Hill House railings.

The town council does not want to ban signs on Hill House railings, but banners for business in and even out of town should not be there.

Banners for events and fundraisers are only there for a few days.

In the past, there were banners advertising business for months.

This is what we were asking to be removed.
